Cocktails, Cocktails and More Cocktails!

I’ve been thinking lately about all the places I tend to go when I’m going out for cocktails in town. Generally on a random Friday after work we would head somewhere for a few drinks (and a cheeky cheese board). Will keep updating as I go 🙂

The Lucky Duck – One of Dublin’s newest cocktails bar, this place recently opened on Aungier Street. We visited here the first night they started to do food, and sat on the top floor overlooking the street. We got a couple of cocktails, and they were all lovely – really unusual! The food is okay. Would highly recommend a visit.

Camden Exchange – I love the Bulleit bourbon theme here in their food and cocktails! They have a great selection of cocktails and some infused gins.

Vintage Cocktail Club – The VCC has a huge selection of unique cocktails, hidden away in their Temple Bar location. It can take quite some time to properly read through the menu but I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve chosen before.  One I would recommend is the Crown Alley Punch Up (Powers Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, Irish whiskey marmalade, apple and cinnamon tea, Jerry Thomas Aromatic Bitters, fresh citrus).

Peruke & Periwig –  On a cold winter evening,  its great visiting here on a Friday after work for a bite to eat and some amazing cocktails. One of my favorites being the Back in Black (Jameson Black Barrel, Xante Pear, Tuaca Vanilla, Lemon, Cinnamon & Date Syrup, Mint)

The Chelsea Drugstore – A lovely bar with a fantastic cocktail menu. Its a great place early in the evening to chill out and try some of their unusual cocktails!

The Liquor Rooms – I love the Liquor Rooms when on a week night when its quite with not too many people around. My favourite here is the Eva Gore-Booth (Gosling’s Dark Rum, Pear Liqueur, Raspberry, Pineapple, Lime, Ginger Cordial , Soda)

The South William – We tend to stop in here on our strolls around town, they have a fantastic cocktail menu here, including their own Espresso Martini menu –  highly recommend The Jaffa Cake (vodka, cointreau, mozart gold and espresso)

Fade Street Social – I love the little rooftop bar at Fade Street Social, I’ve been a couple of times, along with visiting the restaurant a few times. My favourite cocktail is the Knee Trembler (vodka, strawberry liquor, lime juice, vanilla syrup topped off with prosecco)

The Waterloo Bar – The cocktail menu has been reduced significantly over the last couple of years, but they are still amazing. My favourite here is the Easy Mistake (bourbon, strawberries and simple syrup)
